Welcome to the US Theoretical Archaeology Group hub.
The Theoretical Archaeology Group (TAG) has been debating archaeological theory since 1979. TAG was started by the Universities of Sheffield, Cambridge and Southampton in the UK and still holds a thriving and active conference every December at different sites in the UK. In 2008 TAG-NYC marked the arrival of TAG in the USA. This meeting, held at Columbia University in New York was followed by TAG at Stanford University in 2009. In May 2010 TAG USA was held at Brown University. The next US TAG will be held at SUNY Buffalo in 2012. the deadline for the submission of individual papers is March 1, 2012. TAG-USA runs in tandem with the british tag meetings and with TAG's Scandinavian offshoot, Nordic TAG. | For more photos see our flickr stream
